IV Therapy ... What to Expect During Your Visit
IV Therapy ... What to Expect During Your Visit
IV therapy is a fast and effective way to deliver essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. This allows for higher absorption rates compared to oral supplements, ensuring your body receives the nutrients it needs to function optimally. There could be many reasons why this would be beneficial for you. If you are known to have deficiencies, IV therapy is a great way to increase levels due to its increased Bioavailability. You could also have digestive issues from your stomach all the way down your colon; IV therapy allows safe bypassing of the digestive system to allow almost 99% of the substance to enter your bloodstream!
Before Your Visit
Once you’ve booked your appointment, you will receive a medical questionnaire and consent form to complete. These forms are essential for understanding your health history, identifying any contraindications, and ensuring your safety during the treatment. Completing them in advance allows us to prepare for your session and tailor your therapy to your needs.
On the Day of Your Appointment
When you arrive to the clinic, you will have a brief consultation with our trained healthcare professional. During this discussion, we’ll review your completed forms, talk about your health goals, and recommend a customized blend of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that would be most beneficial for you. This is your opportunity to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable with the process. Please arrive on time as any delays could feed into other appointments. Depending on the treatment, it is possible we may not be able to start the treatment if there are significant delays.
The Cannulation Process
Once your personalized IV therapy has been prepared, we will begin the cannulation process. Using strict aseptic techniques, our Medical Professional will clean the insertion site thoroughly to minimize the risk of infection. A small IV cannula will then be carefully inserted into a vein, typically in your arm or hand. You may feel a slight pinch during this process, but it should be quick and relatively painless.
After securing the cannula, the IV drip will be connected, and your therapy will begin. The infusion process typically takes 30–60 minutes, depending on the formula and your individual needs. During this time, you can relax in a comfortable setting while the nutrients are delivered directly into your bloodstream.
Finishing Your Treatment
Once your IV therapy is complete, the cannula will be gently removed, and the insertion site will be dressed with a sterile plaster. Our team will provide you with post-treatment guidance to ensure you continue to feel your best.
At every step, your safety, comfort, and satisfaction are our top priorities. We’re here to support you on your wellness journey and ensure your IV therapy experience is as seamless and effective as possible.
